Celebrating

Careers in Construction Month

October is Careers in Construction Month, and there's no better time to highlight what makes these careers worth pursuing.

I spent 16 years in the field as an electrician, and I can tell you firsthand that the trades offer something you won't find in many other fields—real financial independence without student debt, job security in an industry that always needs skilled workers, and the satisfaction of building something tangible with your hands.

The women you'll read about in this newsletter took different paths to get here. One discovered her capabilities by accident, another brought military experience to heavy equipment, and another is using her years as a carpenter to make job sites safer. What they all share is proof that construction careers can change the trajectory of your life.

If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and want a career that offers both challenge and stability, the trades might be right for you. Our free training programs give you the foundation you need to succeed.

These stories show what's possible when women have access to quality training and support in the trades.
